In half a day Torchbug will be back in its original Heimat of Deutchland! Torchbug is an immigrant though, so it’ll spend most its time in the airport, waiting to be flown back to its new home in the US. Bugs aren’t the most optimal flyers, so I’ll accompany it on its journey.

Torchbug realizes this GTi is even better to drive than its own offspring

From Düsseldorf it’ll fly to Boston and be driven !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! New England. It’ll get a new owner somewhere close to Cape Cod.

Not the actual route, but it does include all the places it will spend the night:

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

In the mean time I let it refriend the 1988 Peugeot 205 GTi.

Torchbug looking at other bugs. Bugs slain by the mighty lion.

Torchbug in its lodge.

Torchbug had met this GTi !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! though, at the Oppo/LaLD meet at the awesome Louwman Museum at The Hague. They had many of its ancestors and offspring there.

Everyone present at the Louwman Museum meet. Torchbug isn’t visible. Did it take the picture?

Have a great holiday! Don’t forget to amaze the Americans with your vast array of Peugeots.

I wish I had got on the list for the torchbug. Dunno where I would take it, but Bonneville might have been...

Well, it’s more than the average American probably has ever seen, if they even still know what a Peugeot is.

Nothing is final. You can still get it, eventually. Ask El_Uly:

Some of use know, for sure. Some of us even had a Peugeot U-08 10 Speed in College!

Here in Murica I’ve only seen 1 Peugeot outside a museum. I might’ve freaked out a little bit (actually a lot).

Here they’re more common than Honda, Lexus, Subaru, Acura, Infiniti, Dodge, Chevy, Chrysler, Cadillac and RAM. COMBINED! Usually the #2 or #3 best selling brand.

I’m in Boston now. Cars are... different. Fatter and more Japanese and American. Also, the trucks. No mainstream Euro cars at all, save for the rare VW.
